WHO IS JESUS TO YOU? PART 2

In this kingdom, our relationship with God is defined by our encounters; our personal revelation of Jesus is what gives us our place in this kingdom. Christ says that he will appoint a kingdom for us. Our rulership is based on our encounter with Jesus. The more you know him, the more you progress; your knowledge, your revelation of him, is what will clear the barrier of your path.  

Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

The question of Jesus Christ's true identity is crucial to our Christian journey; no one can avoid it; every believer is expected to give their own answer based on their understanding of Jesus. Your dominion over darkness is tied to your answer; your commanding of the supernatural is tied to your answer. Our foundation is Christ, and you cannot build on a foundation you don´t know or are not sure of. The bible says that except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain to build it (Psalm 127:1a), and Jesus Christ said that without him we can do nothing. So, every time we do in this kingdom is tied to our knowledge of who Jesus truly is, because He is the one to contend with the gates of hell, not you and me. He is the king of glory; when he appears, the gate of hell will lift its head (Psalm 24:7-10). His name is what the enemy is afraid of, and not your name. God has given him a name that everything answers to.  If God did not reveal His Son to you, the keys to the kingdom of heaven will not be released to you, and in this kingdom, we operate by keys. The power is in the hands of the person who holds the key; even if you are the landlord, if you don't have the key to the building, you will remain outside. 

Jesus told Peter that because my Father has revealed me to you, I will give you keys to the kingdom of heaven to bind and cast the devil at will. He told him that he would put him in command of the world to do as he pleases. When he says by my name, you shall cast out devils. He was referring to those who have received the revelation of his true identity. The more you know him, the more your command of the supernatural. When you have the keys, you will have solutions to all problems; note, the word keys, and not just key; every door has its own keys. If Satan locks the door of the breakthrough against you, there are keys to open it. If he locks the door to your health, there are keys to open it, and that key is in your genuine encounter with Jesus. 

Friends, you see why everyone should seek Jesus; seeking to know Jesus should be our number one desire. He is the life, the way, and the truth, and no one can see the Father except through him. Without him, you have no life. The revelation of Jesus is the answer to all our prayers. Our confidence as a believer comes from our personal encounter with Jesus. The same Peter walked on water because he believed Jesus would save him; his confidence in Jesus was superb. You may ask, Nene, I don't know how to go about it. Here is your answer: Jesus is the word of God, and God framed the world by the word. The more of the word of God you have in you, the more revelation you get. You need to develop the attitude of studying the word and meditating on it, and then you will start commanding breakthroughs on every side. 

Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

WHO IS JESUS TO YOU? PART 1

This question is for every believer; each one of us needs to answer it by ourselves. It is not me, Nene, asking you; I have no such power; Christ himself is the one asking you. Your enthronement depends on your answer, so be careful with your answer. Your answers do not depend on the years of your new birth; no, not at all; remember the twelve disciples were with Jesus for three and a half years, but yet only Peter was able to answer correctly, what an irony! Don't be surprised that many believers don't really know who Christ is to them? You may live inside a church, sleeping on the altar, yet still don't know Jesus's true identity. Here is how it works: you must discover Christ's true identity yourself, and then Christ will reveal your own identity to you. Because, as it is now, you may not know who you really are in Christ until you know who Christ is. Don't assume you know him; you will be limiting yourself. Friends, please come with me and let's explore more.

You cannot be elevated in this kingdom until you answer the question of Christ's true identity; if I may ask you, who do men say Jesus is? Who did your Pastor say Jesus is? And who is Jesus to you? That is, what is your personal revelation about Jesus? Your personal revelation of who Jesus is to you is what will qualify you for enthronement. You can't define Jesus on my own terms; you need a personal encounter to define him. There were twelve disciples, but only Peter was able to answer the question of Jesus' true identity. In return, Jesus told Peter who he was. No wonder he was the only one who followed him when he was arrested. Even though he denied Jesus, he repented immediately(Luke 22:54-62). 

Luke 22:31 (And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren).

Jesus Christ foretold his denial, and he also said that when he repented, he should strengthen his brothers; that was why he named him the rock. Rock to be built upon. He has a solid foundation in Christ, and that is why Christ said this rock is ready for him to build upon. That revelation is beyond human understanding. Ask God to reveal his son to you; ask Jesus to reveal Himself to you, because your change of story lies in your personal encounter with Jesus; that is, your personal revelation of Jesus. It is to you according to the level of your understanding of who Christ is to you. He said, if you love him, you will obey his commandments; but you are still selecting which of the commandments to obey, and the main commandment is Love. He says go ye into the world and preach his gospel (Mark 16:15); that you should be his witness (Acts 1:8); because that is why he came; and that is the church that he wants to build on the rock. Every child of God is likened to a rock, and a rock is for Christ to build his church; the question is, are you ready to be built upon by Jesus? Do you know him enough to convince people to trust him? Tell me, how are you going to explain your love for Christ when you are face -to- face with him on the last day if you refuse to manifest your call as the rock by drawing multitudes to Jesus? Peter, the rock, preached the gospel, and 5,000 souls were converted at a spot (Acts 4:4). 

Just like Peter, Satan will challenge your knowledge of Jesus by confronting you with a situation that will make you want to deny what you already know, but you will overcome in Jesus name. 

Friends, to move forward from where you are now to your next level requires personal revelation of the person of Jesus, because the more you know, the more progress you make. Please ask him to give you more of himself, and your destiny with no limit will manifest, in Jesus' name.

Every journey begins with a step, and the first step in your relationship with Jesus is salvation. So, friends, take that bold step today by praying this salvation prayer below and begin your journey with Jesus. God bless you.

LIVING ABOVE THE WORLD; MORE THAN A CONQUEROR VIBES

Psalm 82:5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. 6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

Psalm 147:6 The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.

Every child of God is ordained to operate on the high places of the earth by redemption. Redemption has lifted you from the valley and placed you far above principalities and powers. You are no longer on the same level as the world; you are in total control of it. It means walking as if your feet are not touching the ground; you own the world;  you are operating on a higher ground. That is, you are in heaven's tableland where no devil can have access to you. And that is what I call, more than a conqueror's vibes or feelings. I love reading, and I developed the attitude of reading from my primary school days; I started with small literature, then to Mills & Boon, graduated to reading crime novels, most especially the ones written by James Hadley Chase, and  John Grisham, and when I got born again, and I started reading anointed books; my first and favourite anointed book was written by my Father, Bishop David Oyedepo, titled (Satan Get Lost). It was a gift from my Boss, what a wonderful gift. He gave me another book (Prayer Rain by Dr. D.K. Olukoya), and he taught me how to wake up and pray the midnight prayer. Friends, may the Lord connect you with someone who will help your destiny, in Jesus' name. When I was done reading Satan Get Lost, I got addicted to Bishop David Oyedepo´s books and asked God to make me a writer like him, and that is where I am today. Glory be to God Almighty, may His name alone be glorified (Amen). I came to realise that no knowledge is wasted, you just have to know how to appropriate it. Friends, any opportunity you have, make use of it right away because you may not have time for such again, even if you are willing. I love James Hadley Chase's nifty titles, and my favourite Chase title was (The World in My Pocket). I was captivated by those titles, and that shifted something inside of me. My favourite hymn is (Higher Ground by Johnson Oatman Jr.) I notice that I have written so many messages based on the knowledge gained from this particular hymn without even knowing it. Today´s message is an example. When I got the title and started writing, I remembered the hymn, and when I got back to studying the lyrics, I noticed that the title actually came from it. The Holy Spirit will bring things out of what you have inside of you over the years; that is why He is called the spirit of remembrance. So, if you have nothing deposited in you by reading your bible and books, he won't have anything to bring out when you need it. Friends, please develop the habit of reading and encourage your children to do so. 

Living above the world means that the happenings around you do not touch you. They just fall by your side but never come near you. Having this more-than-a-conqueror vibe, like my father owns everything and I cannot lack. That my Father created the universe and I have access to Him, I speak with Him whenever I want concerning issues, and He listens to me. Sometimes he initiates the conversation, teaching me things that I need to know. You see why God teaches us humility and love, so that we would not be high-minded by the attention He gives us. You may be above the world, but you cannot be above your Father who created the world. It is very important to be conscious of that, so that one will not end up like Satan. Knowing that the world and his princes are afraid of you because of who you are in Christ can give you that more than a conqueror vibe. Knowing that you are loved by God, that Jesus Christ had you in mind while he was on the cross, should give you those vibes. When men say there is casting down, you will be counting your wealth. This kind of feeling can only come when you are aware of who you are in Christ and begin to live it. Knowing that your feet are firmly planted on heaven´s tableland, and that you are occupying a higher ground where no devil can come close, Friends, when you find yourself in this realm, ask God to plant your feet firmly there, do everything to maintain it by studying the word of God, and keep loving Him. Moses operates in this realm, and he defeats Pharaoh and his armies. When God said that he had made him god to Pharaoh, he became aware of his status as more than a conqueror, and that changed everything (Exodus 7:1). 

Numbers 12:3 (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

God said about the same Moses that he was a very meek man above all men on the face of the earth; so his relationship, his closeness with God, does not turn to arrogance. Meekness is the key to maintaining our relationship with God and continuing to enjoy our status as more than conquerors.

Matthew 5:5 (Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth).

Friends, in conclusion, the meek are the ones living above the world; they are more than conquerors; they have the world in their pocket as their inheritance. Please ask God to baptize you with the spirit of meekness and continue to enjoy your more than a conqueror lifestyle, in Jesus' name.

Only legitimate children have a say in the inheritance of their Father; you can´t inherit the earth without being born of God. Please quickly pray this salvation prayer today and become a child of God today. God bless you.

LOVE MEASURING GAUGE PART 2: THE OBEDIENCE OF SOUL WINNING (JOHN 15)

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

In our last message, we spoke at length about our obedience towards God's commandments as proof of our love for Him. Truly, you can say you love God or someone, and you can't prove it. Bishop David Oyedepo says that only a fool will doubt proof. If you ask even an unbeliever about the love of God, they will tell you that they love God. Our love for God is not in talking; it is in doing. God weighs our love on a scale, and that will determine how much of his secret he is going to reveal to you. For he said to his disciples that friends don't hide things from each other; they reveal secrets to each other

John 15:15 (Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. 16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. 17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.) 

Our God is not Father Christmas, as many have labelled Him. When you love, you are expected to give, not as it is convenient, but as proof of your love for your partner. Love without sacrifice is questionable. The reason obedience is the key determinant of our love for God is that some instructions may not be convenient, as men may want to do things that please them. Jesus Christ says that God has not left him alone because he does things that please Him; we can attest to that statement when he actually went through the humiliation of being hung on a tree that is meant for thieves and criminals, all in the name of pleasing God. 

Here is Jesus Christ's last commandment to his disciples, and every genuine disciple of Jesus should obey the instruction as proof of our love for him; for he said that if we love him, we will obey his commandments.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

 

The commandment of soul winning is very crucial, and God does not take it lightly with those who flout these instructions. He sent His only begotten Son for this purpose. Jesus came to show us the way back to God, and he taught his disciples how to do the same. (John 10:16-18) He went further to say that the job is going to continue until his second coming. Every believer is meant to be a contributor to this soul-winning business; it is a commandment. If you fulfil every other commandment without this one, God is not going to be pleased with you. Soul winning is his main business; it is our kingdom business and a very lucrative one indeed.  The interaction between Jesus and the young rich man will put everything into perspective for you. You may say, but, Nene, I have obeyed all the commandments; yes, you are right; so, is the rich young man. Please read (Matthew 19:16-30 and Mark 10:17-31)

The rich man also obeyed all the commandments except the commandment to follow Jesus and to win souls for the kingdom. Because it requires that he turn his back on his wealth and follow Jesus, he was not a stingy man; he gave to the poor, but he could just abandon his treasure of the world and follow Jesus. Little did he know that if he followed Jesus, he would get a hundredfold of what he let go, not just in heaven but here on earth. He lacks that knowledge. The interaction between Jesus and the rich man shocked Peter and made him ask Jesus the question below.

Mark 10:26 (And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved? 27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. 28 Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. 29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, 30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life).

Friends, God so loved the world that he gave his only son to die for the world. Christ also loved the world so that he sacrificed himself for the world. He laid down his life for his friends (John 10:16-18). He said we should go into the world and demonstrate our love for him by preaching his love and sacrifice for the world. The question is, are you doing it? How many souls have you won for Christ this year or since you got born again? Sir/ma, please, prove your love for Jesus; you have obeyed all the other commandments; obey this one also. God bless you. 

The truth is that you can't save others if you are not saved; establish your relationship with  Jesus as his friend today by accepting him as your Lord and saviour, praying this salvation prayer below, and be blessed, in Jesus name.

LOVE MEASURING GAUGE

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Obedience is God's measuring gauge of our love for him. God is love, and he that dwells in God dwells in Love(1 John 4:16). The level of your love for God will determine the amount of God you have in you. Every believer's manifestation depends on the amount of God in them. God's definition of love is obedience to His commandments; so, if you select the commandments you want to obey and leave the others, you are limiting your growth by doing such things. 

John 15:8 (Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. 9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. 10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love).

John 17:4 (I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was).

Jesus Christ says that he does everything God commanded him to do and demands his glorification. He responds by saying that He already glorifies him. So, friends, your glorification, your shining in life, depends on your love for God. John 12:28 (Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again).

Obedience is the determinant of our love for God. Christ says if you love him, you will obey his commandments; so disobedience to God´s instructions is a clear indication that you don't love God. Your proof of love for God is in your obedience to his instruction. 

John 21:17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Jesus says to Peter, " If you indeed love me, go and take care of my sheep; that is, I came here to gather the lost sheep back to God, and I am going back to God, don't let them scatter, feed them, guide them, and teach them how to bring more lost sheep into the same fold. We all know what happened to Peter; he did what Christ instructed him to do, even with his life. Christianity has come to stay because of Peter´s obedience to Christ's last commandments. Christ says to Peter that he will build his Church on his obedience. Can Jesus say the same thing about me and you? Disobedience cost Saul his throne; the quickest way to lose your enthronement and favour with God is disobedience. God considers those who disobey him as children of the devil, and a child of the devil has no space nor inheritance with God. Friends, if you don't want God to disinherit, obey Him and continue to obey Him. 

1 Samuel 2:30 (Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed). 

The only way to win God´s heart is through obedience; David was called a man after God's heart because of his obedience. He won all his battles because God was with him. It is our obedience that will keep His presence in our lives; God has no business with a disobedient child. The greatest, the first, and the last commandments of God are love. 

Mark 16:15 (And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature).

John 15:12 This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

Satan says that Job did not serve God for nothing, which means even the devil knows that God rewards us for loving him. We demonstrate our love for God by taking pleasure in populating His kingdom, and in return, He will prosper our way. 

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

BE CONSCIOUS OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

John 8:16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

John 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

 

Life indeed is a battlefield, and Christianity is a call to war against the kingdom of darkness, and a call into a loving relationship with God. We are in a serious business, and you can't afford to live your life on negligence or chances. Every believer is called to partner with God to defeat the enemies of their journey back to heaven. But the relationship between God and us can only benefit us if we are conscious of it. Our confidence comes from awareness of God's presence in our lives. Knowing fully well that you are not alone in that struggle will give you more than a conqueror´s vibe. 

Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

2 Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

 

When you are single, you do things that please only you, and you don't need to worry about hurting anyone´s feelings. But when you are engaged or in a relationship, you will begin to take precautions with your activities, your statements, and your associations, knowing fully well that you have a partner and are accountable to them. When we say yes to Jesus and begin a relationship with Him, we have shifted most of our responsibility to Him, and He expects us to be loyal, faithful, and obedient to his instruction. Relationships can only last if one respects each other´s boundaries. God has a boundary. And we are to respect His boundary; He is living inside of you, and he said you cannot carry him into a dirty place because He is a Holy God; He wants you to obey all His commandments, which is the term and condition of your relationship with Him. The proof of our love for God is in obedience. God dwells in those who love Him; He does not force Himself on anyone; He stays where He is respected and valued. If you value your relationship with God, you will respect him and maintain boundaries.

John 10:30 I and my Father are one. 31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

Jesus Christ's confidence comes from awareness of God´s presence in his life. He knew that he was sent to do the work he came to this world to do, and he followed the instructions of the one who sent him. He does not make decisions without God´s involvement; he takes orders from above. He was so sure that the Jew would not be able to stop him because He that sent him is always with him. He relied solemnly on His father´s instructions. He lived his life to please Him because he knew that his victory could only come from pleasing his Father. He knew what could disconnect him from God, so he avoided such things and such places. He may be tempted to do something contrary to the will of God, but because of the value he had for the relationship, he was able to conquer such feelings. People hold what they value in high esteem; if you really value your relationship with God, you should protect it, knowing that your life depends on it. Many believers today are not aware of their relationship with God, and some have forgotten; they allow themselves to be carried away by the happenings of this world. And that is why they are losing battles left and right. If you ignore His existence in your life, He will ignore you and focus His attention on the people who value Him. He says that He will honour those who honour him. 1 Samuel 2:30 (Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed). I pray for you, your throne will not be given to another person, in the name of Jesus. Many have lost their crowns because of negligence. Friends, you are no longer alone; God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are living inside of you. You are more than a conqueror. He that is in you is greater than all your enemies and their master Satan, but you need to know who you truly are, begin to internalise it, and then manifest it openly. So many believers are victims of their ignorance.

Psalm 82:6 (I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. 7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes).

Friends, lack of awareness of who you are in Christ can be disastrous, but that will no longer be you from today, in Jesus name. Relationships are formed by agreement between parties. Jesus Christ wants to form a relationship with you. He said I should ask you to pray this salvation prayer below as a sign that you have accepted his proposal. Quickly say yes to him and be blessed, in Jesus name.

MORE THAN A CONQUEROR MINDSET

John 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

The knowledge of your superiority over darkness is what will activate its effect against their kingdom. It is no longer news that you are not a match for the devil and his agents; we, the believers, are to possess more than a conqueror mindset to dominate our territory. They need to know who is in charge since we are living side by side with darkness. You have to establish your superiority and put them in quarantine where they belong. If not, they will continue to harass you. After this message, no devil will harass you again, in Jesus name. 

John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

The dominion of light over darkness is unquestionable. The Bible says that the light shineth and darkness comprehendeth it not; and you are the light of the world, a city on a hill that cannot be hidden. All you have to do is let your light shine because if it is not shining, it cannot conquer or dominate anything. The reason for the harassment is that your light is exposing their evil, and they want to run you out of the environment so that they can operate freely. The only way to silence them is total domination; set the rule, and let them know who the Boss is. Tell them that as long as you are in that area, that business, that company, that you rule and others follow. Jesus says that as long as he is in the world, he is the light of the world; and that as the Father sent him to be the light, he also has sent us to be the light of the world. The awareness of your spiritual authority is very important; if you don't know what you have at your disposal, you will not be able to make use of it. God is not the one behind your affliction; it is the devil. He afflicted Job, and he is still afflicting people today, but you can stop him and chase him out of your territory by laying hold on the victory that Jesus has won for you and me in the cross of Calvary (1 Peter 2:24 and Isaiah 53:5).

Luke 15:29 (And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: 30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. 31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine).

The prodigal son's elder brother has everything, yet he is angry with his Father for not giving him one cow; meanwhile, he owes everything that belongs to his father. If you know who you are as the light and walk in that mindset, from today, wherever you go, as you step in, darkness will step out for you. They will come down from their throne and hand it over to you. I have seen it manifest every time. They cannot just hide around you, no matter how much they pretend; your light will just expose them; it is automatic. Friends, please let your light shine, so that you will not stumble in the journey of life. Keep your lamp burning.

Luke 11:34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. 35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

The agenda of the devil is to darken your light so that you can stop exposing his work, because with your lamp, he will not be able to operate. You may ask, but Nene, how is it possible? He can't darken my light. The answer is, yes. If you take your eyes away from Jesus, the devil will darken your light, and you will not shine again. He does that by causing distraction; if he can distract you from focusing on Christ, he will darken your light. For your light to continue to shine brighter and brighter until the perfect day, you need to maintain your focus on Jesus. Don't have an alternative, let Jesus be your all, let his word be your only solution in any issue of concern in your life. 

Friends, note that as long as you are in the world, you are the light of the world; it is not pride, that is who redemption has made you to be; please wear it as a badge of honour anywhere you go, and you will continue to win all your battles, in Jesus name. Dear friends, have you been under satanic oppression, business failure, academic failure, career failure, disappointment of any kind? I have good news for you, all you need is light, and you will begin to excel in all your endeavours. You can become the light yourself by giving your life to the great light, Jesus Christ, because in his light we shall see light. THE POTHOLE OF LIFE

Life is a mystery; the more you think you know, the less you know. Running on a smooth road and suddenly encountering a pothole can be very annoying and devastating, and it can bring offense if care is not taken. Potholes are an inevitable occurrence in the race of destiny, no matter how perfect and careful you think you are, but the good news is that they are overcomeable.

Life will be a misadventure if you are running without your headlamp on. The world we are in is full of darkness, and to see clearly, our headlamp needs to be constantly on and brightened. The same world that lies in darkness is waiting for the manifestation of the sons and daughters of God to see light, because in our light they shall see light. But if you continue to encounter potholes and delays, tell me, those who are waiting for you, when are they going to witness your manifestation, and be converted? When? Friends, there is no time; you need to have a sense of urgency as you run this race of destiny. Make sure your headlamp remains bright and continues to shine by abiding in the presence of God; study his word and meditate on it (Joshua 1:8).

John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

The above scripture shows us the urgency in the tone of Jesus; he knew he did not have all the time; that his work here on earth has a time limit; as long as we are here in this world, there is a time limit for our work, and if that time passes, it cannot be reversed. Satan, our adversary, knows this, and that is why he created potholes everywhere to slow us down. Hear this, because he could not stop Jesus, he will not be able to stop you, in Jesus name; you will finish the work that God has committed in your hand, in the name of Jesus.

Your assignment cannot be done at night; the work God has called you to do can only be done in the day, and that is exactly what Jesus was saying. The good news is that you are the light of the world, and as long as you are in this world, you are the light of the world. 

To avoid potholes, you need to generate enough light. If your head lamp is not sharp, you will continue to fall into the pothole, but that will not be you, in Jesus' name. 

The irony of this journey is that many people think they are running, but little do they know that they have not started. You may ask, Nene, how? We are all on a journey, quite alright, but many are not in the race. To step into your destiny requires a race; it is not a walk because we don't have all the time. When you give your life to Christ, it is an indication that you are ready to fulfil your original purpose, and that is when the race begins. And, guess what, heaven will be clapping for you, and they will give you their full support, because one man has agreed to answer the call of God. So, friends, many are still in darkness, and they cannot see the pothole; in fact, Satan does not really bother about it as long as they continue to remain in darkness. Some people have been enrolled in the race, but their light has been darkened; they cannot see the pothole, and they are stagnated; no more light in their lamp, so they are in this same category with those who have not seen the light. The good news is that Jesus Christ is waiting with a lighter to lighten your lamp, and is also waiting to initiate you into the kingdom of light; friends, what are you waiting for? Quickly say yes to his proposal and be lightened, in Jesus' name. God bless you.

RUNNING WITH YOUR LIGHT ON

Until you make a conscious decision to follow the path of light destiny, manifestation will be a mirage. 

John 12:35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. 36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

A call to Christianity is a call into the race of destiny, and we cannot run without our light on. Christianity is a call to be initiated into the light, and that light is Jesus. At new birth, when you give your life to Christ, he will give you a burning lamp as a sign that you have been initiated into his light and that you are now like him and that there is no darkness in you.

John 1:4 (In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

Psalm 36:9 (For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light).

Salvation has given you a life of purpose; you now have a destination, and to get there, you need guidance. The light in you is your guide, and it will lead you to your destination safely. Without the light in you, you cannot arrive at your destination. 

The reason Christ handed you a burning lamp is for you to see clearly and not stumble while running the race of destiny. The wicked ones are hiding in dark places of the earth, but with our lamp on, they will be exposed; there will be no hiding place for them. The light you are carrying is the reason why you can see what ordinary eyes could not see. That lamp is the extra eyes that Jesus Christ has given to you so that you can see everything clearly, and nothing will be hidden from you. What differentiates Daniel from others in Babylon is the light he has; there was a lamp in his custody that made him see what the king could not see. The light is what keeps him relevant throughout his life. We, the children of the new covenant, are the light ourselves, but our connection to the olive tree is what will keep us relevant. Some light has gone dim while some has gone out. But as for you, your light will not go out, in Jesus name. 

Daniel 11:32 (And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits).

The light is for you to shine in your career; the secret of success that you encounter because of your light is what makes the difference. Your connection with God is what sets you apart. The secret was revealed to Daniel in the night (Daniel 2:19). God revealed a secret to Jacob, and he became successful, and his Boss began to envy him (Genesis 30:25-43). Overtaking is allowed; overtaking is painful; if no one is envying you, then you are not progressing. You can't be successful if you are constantly working against the covenant. Jacob vowed to give God ten percent of all his income if God gave him success, and God did not forget because Jacob was committed to the covenant (Genesis 28:12-22). If I may ask, what covenant have you made with God, or which of the covenants of God have you been working against? God is still the same yesterday, today, and forevermore, so the covenant is still the same. Deuteronomy 29:29(The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law).

Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. 3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

The gentile shall come into your light, in the name of Jesus, because in your light they shall see light. Friends, only those who believe and receive the light can be lighted. Jesus is waiting for you. Hurry up and collect your burning lamp by praying the salvation prayer below and be blessed, in Jesus name.
